How Hamilton Won Pole in Mexico

As expected, the margins at the front were incredibly tight in Mexico. Lewis Hamilton came out on top, just 0.009 seconds ahead of George Russell, with Charles Leclerc another 0.110 seconds back.
The sector breakdown tells an interesting story: Hamilton was fastest in Sector 1 (26.852s), Russell took Sector 2 (30.008s), while Leclerc was quickest through Sector 3 (19.524s).
But here's the crucial part: Hamilton delivered the decisive blow through the fastest corners of the circuit — Turns 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11. He carried the car through these challenging sections with extraordinary commitment and precision. It was pure driver instinct and supreme car control from the seven-time World Champion.
The top three also recorded almost identical top speeds, with Hamilton and Russell reaching 350 km/h, just one km/h faster than Leclerc.
Three drivers, three different strengths — but Hamilton put the complete lap together just that little bit better, earning a thoroughly deserved, record-extending 105th F1 pole position. 🏎️

The Shock at Haas
What is the real story behind Ocon’s shock dismissal during the Mexican GP weekend?
One possible explanation is a serious disagreement between Ocon and the team over how the rest of the weekend should unfold. There have also been unconfirmed reports of heated exchanges — and even a minor physical altercation — involving Ocon and Komatsu.
Well, we will probably never know the full story — at least not for a while.
There is also something rather suspicious about the timing. Hirakawa just happened to be in Ocon’s car yesterday morning, getting some mileage under his belt. And the next race is in Brazil — the home country of Rafa Câmara, who is set to replace Ocon in 2027.
Introducing a new driver to the Brazilian crowd at Interlagos next weekend would certainly make good business sense. Coincidence? Perhaps. But the timing raises questions.
In situations like this, we are left reading between the lines. Haas’s unusually brief and carefully worded communication, followed by its firm refusal to provide further details, suggests that whatever happened behind the scenes was serious enough to trigger an immediate change in the team’s plans.
One thing is certain: there is more to this story than we have been told. Interesting details are expected in the coming days. 🏎️

Was Max Impeded by Lando?
Technically, no. In reality? Yes.
Lando had already aborted his lap and was visibly trying to get out of Max’s way, even moving beyond the track limits to avoid impeding him. But he was on the wrong side of the circuit, effectively occupying the racing line at roughly half racing speed.
And that was enough to disrupt Max’s lap. As Verstappen explained, Lando’s presence took away his visual reference for braking into one of the slowest sections of the track, effectively ruining his attempt.
Those who know Lando will hardly believe he did anything deliberately to compromise Max’s lap. But intentional or not, the situation is clear.
Even if no formal rule was broken, the driving standards and spatial awareness expected from a Formula 1 world champion should be considerably higher. 🏎️
